Military countered boko haram's attack in Yobe State on Sunday ..........

The Nigerian military have shown their gallantry in the war against boko haram over the years with outstanding result. During the past weekend,the military were able to Infiltrate the camp of the insurgents in Yobe State. They were able to recover some weapons. Although the exercise was bloody and there were lots of casualties.  A soldier and a vigilante member lost their lives. In a tweet post,the defense HQ wrote the entire scenario ........ 1. " FLASH: Scores of heavily armed terrorists using women and children as shield died on Sunday when they attacked Babangida in #Yobe State /1" 2. " while their action was being foiled by troops on Sunday.Over 10 rifles and weapon accessories as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition /2" 3. Nuhu Ribadu visits bomb blast victims in Yola State................

Nuhu Ribadu the PDP guber candidate for Yola state who conceded defeat after the governorship elections in March/April,payed a visit to the victims of the Yola bomb blast which occurred recently. Mr Ribadu has contested for the presidential seat in year 2011 and was conquered by GEJ and also contested for the guber seat of Yola in the year 2015 but was not successful. The bottom line is that this man is a patriotic Nigerian with a leader's heart. Nice work sir...

David Cameron : UK and US to help Nigeria tackle boko harm and corruption #G7....

This is the tweet post in which PM. David Cameron said he met with Obama to aid to rid Nigeria of its foes I.e Boko haram and corruption.  In a twitter post published by the prime minister of the United Kingdom, Mr David Cameron. He said that he has met with United State's president, Obama to see how they can aid Nigeria to tackle the insurgency that has recked havoc to Nigeria and other neighboring African border countries. The prime minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron. David Cameron a British politician and the current prime minster of the UK has served as UK's PM since 2010, said it is his desire that Nigeria be ridden of it's greatest foes I.e Boko Haram and corruption. This entire transaction was discussed at the just concluded G7 summit.

Pope Francis with 65,000+ people pray for peace in Sarajevo,Bosnia Herzegovina....

Pope Francis today celebrates Mass in a stadium with a crowd close to or more than 65,000 in attendance in Sarajevo,Bosnia Herzegovina. Pope Francis preached the message of global peace and also said that Sarajevo Bosnia know too well about the pains of war,and that it was his earnest desire for peace to reign. Sarajevo,Bosnia Herzegovina is one of the countries in the world with a high rate of youth unemployment ,which is believed to contribute to the state of unrest and the bloodshed the country has experienced between the 3 ethnicity and religions in Bosnia Herzegovina. Pope Francis' visit to Sarajevo,Bosnia Herzegovina was a visit of peace. He ensured that he met with the country's presidency and religious leaders to relay his message of peace.

Artificial drought: ISIS' new tactics to fight Iraq government.........

ISIS has closed some gates to dams on the euphrates river in western Iraq,reducing the flow of water to government-held territories which is Iraq's western Amber province. An official said that "the militants have redirected the water to their advantage. It now flows around their battle field which is around the city of Ramadi; a city they captured last month. The official said that this tactics by ISIS will bring about drought to the southern provinces of Iraq if measures are not taken.

President Buhari payed a visit to the republic of Niger yesterday to delibrate on how the two countries i.e Nigeria and Niger republic will join forces to get rid of insurgency in the north-eaatern part of Nigeria. The insurgency that has been on for years has suffered grave repelling attacks from neighboring border countries like... Barely 24 hours after the president was sworn into office,Boko haram strikes again....

Barely 24 hours after the president was sworn into office, Boko haram launched a dreaded attack on Bulunkutu,Maiduguri. Witnesses said that the sect came at night with loads of bombardments and gunshots  which was later repelled by the military. "After a great deal of gunshots,the insurgents realised that they do not stand the chance they later retreated and started launching grenades to the said town which destroyed lots of houses and left many dead and injured-the real figure of casualties is yet unknown.

Heatwave in India and its aftermath.....

The kind of heat that truck India this week is a deadly one. The heat wave has left lots of Indians dead and many more distressed A heatwave in India has left more than 1,000 people dead, and forecasters expect the punishing conditions to persist through the coming days. Most of the deaths have come in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the India Meteorological Department predicts high temperatures will exceed 40 degrees Celsius through at least the end of the month.

Mohammed Morsi(Egypt's ex-president) and 105 others sentenced to death........

Cairo criminal court issued a death sentence to ex-egyptian president,Mohammed Morsi and 105 other top leaders of the Islamic brotherhood in egypt. This sentence was issued on Saturday, May 16th,but execution is on hold because the case has been referred to Egypt's grand mufti who is the country's top religious leader,he is the one with the final say. His decisions will be made public on the 2nd of June 2015. So far so good, America has shown concern for the death sentence of Morsi and the 105 others.

Families in Iraq fleeds because ISIS raised their black flag in Ramadi...

The families and people of Ramadi,(an Iraqi provincial capital) began a compulsory migration because ISIS fighters raised their black flag of terror. The raising of this flag was triggered by the event that took place on friday,where one of ISIS' senior leader was killed by US led coalition troops. And ever since,the death of their leader known as Abu Suyyaf and the capturing of his wife,Umm Suyyaf,the ISIS fighters have been on a black code of action which has led to the dismisal of Ramadi residents and families. 

Long captured Chibok girls finally rescued......

Good news to Nigerians. The defence headquarter of Nigeria alerted Nigeria today that the Military has rescued 200 girls and 93 women in Sambisa forest. The raid against the insurgent was at a hot degree when the military took a retreat from the dreaded forest due to bomb mines that was planted by the Islamic militants. This news has proven that the Nigerian Army have fought gallantly to prove and reclaim their title as the best land army in the world and Nigerians are proud of their sacrifices as to the rescuing of the said Chibok girls. Well the military troops succeeded in destroying 3 insurgent camp even the dreaded Tokumbere camp located in Sambisa forest.  What are the rescued girls up to?  Well so far so good, the girls are under severe inspection by security personels.

Baltimore Residents Demand Answers after the killing of another black man by white policemen......

On the spot where Baltimore police took Freddie Gray into custody April 12, puddles of melted candle wax have hardened around liquor bottles left in tribute. In quick succession on that Sunday, Gray made eye contact with a police officer, ran away, was caught with a switchblade on his hip, and was dragged into a police van. ISIS beheads 30 Ethiopian cbristians....

A video purportedly made by Islamic State and posted on social media sites on Sunday appeared to show militants shooting and beheading about 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya. Reuters was unable to verify the authenticity of the video, but the killings resemble past violence carried out by Islamic State, an ultra-hardline group that has expanded its reach from strongholds in Iraq and Syria to conflict-ridden Libya. The video, in which militants call Christians "crusaders" who are out to kill Muslims, showed about 15 men being beheaded on a beach and another group of the same size, in an area of shrubland, being shot in the head. Both groups of men are referred to in a subtitle as "worshippers of the cross belonging to the hostile Ethiopian church". Libyan officials were not immediately available for comment. Al-Shabab militants Ambushed and Killed AU Soldier in Somalia.....

An African Union soldier was killed by al-Shabab militants who ambushed an AMISOM convoy Sunday in southern Somalia. The governor of Somalia's Lower Shabelle region, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur Siidi, told VOA the militants attacked the convoy near the town of Leego. Another Somali official, who requested not to be named, confirmed a Burundian soldier was killed when the vehicle he was driving was destroyed. Three other AMISOM soldiers were wounded in the attack. The governor declined to comment on AMISOM casualty figures. He said 11 al-Shabab militants were killed during an exchange of heavy fire during the incident. An al-Shabab spokesman told Reuters the attack killed five soldiers and destroyed vehicles. Last week, al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the bombing an assault that left 18 people dead and at least 15 others wounded at the Higher Education Ministry in Mogadishu. Boko Haram militants kill at least 10 in north Cameroon......

Fighters from Islamist group Boko Haram killed at least ten people in overnight attacks on two villages in northern Cameroon, two senior army sources told Reuters on Friday. "There were consecutive attacks by Boko Haram in Bia and Blaberi in the district of Kolofata in the early morning," said one officer, who asked not to be named. Why South Africans kill non south African citizens......

Xenophobic killings has escallated in South Africa over the week. This all started when a traditional ruler made an announcement to the people that foreigners have taken over all the jobs of their country,which is why their youths are not gainfully employed. The angry youths when they heard this statement, took to the street and began to kill non south African citizens. This has been going on for days now and AU has called on president Zuma to curb the situation before it gets out of hand. The picture above shows a man who was set ablaze by SA angry mob. Many Africans are showing their disgust at this happenings. John Dumelo,a Ghanian actor writes: "The fact that a man can take the life of another, without any justification and with arrogance impunity is depressing. We constantly lament the evils of terrorism and orchestrated religious attacks, but to what do we owe this? What did we(other Africans) ever do you South Africa?"
