Governor Tanko Almakura and his educational policy....

Nassarawa state governor Umaru Tanko Almakura called principals of state secondary schools to order on the matter of extorting money from students of the state,he said that this practice of extorting money from students is against his education policy which states that education from primary level to secondary level is free.
He went further to say that the only fees that students of the state are to pay is the PTA fees which is just #350 only.
He said that any other fees that students will be asked to pay other than the PTA fee is extortion and anyone caught perpetrating this act of extortion will be prosecuted duely.
