Niger and Chad army launched attacks against Boko haram on Sunday..
The Nigerian government appealed for greater international intervention to help curb the insurgency after that Boko haram pledged allegiance to islamic states (ISIS) on saturday.
This offensive action is called for because if boko haram merges with ISIS it will be a difficult situation.
A chadian witness said that he saw atleast 300 vehicles including army jeeps with sophisticated weapons as well as water tanks and fuel tanks leaving the chadian army barrack overnight and heading towards the Nigerian border.
